KnitWit 46: I’m Sick

Filed under: podcast — Autumn Breeze at 11:20 am on Saturday, December 9, 2006

I have bronchitis. I’m on drugs. Drugs are good. Drugs are bad. I’m a bit irritable. I hate being sick.

I just want to curl up in the corner for now.

Letters of encouragement, sympathy and condolences to Wayne would be appreciated.

Hey - I am more than happy to listen to your voice, however it sounds. However, for the sake of your voice, you should rest it. Take care,
India

India, Thanks for the concern.  My voice sounds like hell but I am not really hurting.  I don’t do much talking day to day.  So I want to share what I have with you.

Take care and always thanks for listening.

Carry.

Carry,

Take it easy and rest up - you need your energy for all of those upcoming holiday parties . . . ;-) And I always love to hear your voice no matter how it sounds!

Thank you for going through the effort of putting up the podcast. I know I would miss it if you didn’t put it up. Your voice is not irritating at the least. I hope Wayne is taking good care of you.

Feel better Carry! It’s very generous of you to podcast even when you’re not feeling well. Now get some rest and take care of yourself!

I’m sorry to hear that you’re sick, I mean, really sick. My boyfriend suffers from chronic bronchitis, so I know that it’s not fun. I hope you’re feeling better soon!

Thanks for podcasting. I know being sick can be hell. When I’m sick I know I’m supposed to rest, but the one thing that makes me feel better is going out and forgetting I’m sick for a little while. I understand about podcasting even in your condition.
Thank you for it.

My sympathies on your illness. Poor Carry. Poor Wayne. Poor sheepies. Poor bunnies. Poor doggy. Go sleep. Drink liquids. But not while you’re asleep.

Hi Carry,
Thanks for podcasting through your illness because it makes mine easier to bear. I, too, have asthma. It’s not too bad unless I get a cold or flu. It’s hard to remember to use my puffer because being out of breath makes me so anxious that I’m out of breath.
Prednisone is not our friend.
When I was nursing on the pediatric oncology ward in (asthma inducing) Calgary, a child would have a total personality shift- never for the better- after two doses.
I would bathe my spaniel in calming baths to prevent her from going on pred.
Hang in there.
Cuddle up and knit up a storm.
