KnitWit 53: The Boob Vise

Your e-mails and comments helped me through a rough week. Thank you.

My hectic week included a visit from the Mobile Breast Cancer Screening Unit. Work pays for us to get cancer screening. I think this is a great thing. Just not something I really look forward to.

KnitWit 52: Looking Back, Looking Forward

Filed under: podcast — Autumn Breeze at 2:35 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2007

This is my 52nd episode. You know what that means. It is our first anniversary. I take a moment (more like 15 minutes) to talk about what I have learned through out the year and where I think the podcast may be going in the up coming year.

I really want to know what you think. Have the changes through the year been positive? What do you think about my proposed changes?

KnitWit 51: Goose, Goose, Duck

Update on Wolfy.

We lowered the loft to see if it would help him jump up to it.

He thinks we are pretty awful people for lowering the ceiling. So just for spite, he is going to hang out on the roof. (Let’s not tell him that was our plan) In a week or so, we will put the shelf up a notch.

cramped bunnyI'll show you bunny

I share with you one of my sister’s stories. I hope she doesn’t mind. This is how I imagine the ugly duckling story got started. It is a true story with maybe just a little embellishment.

What do you think?

KnitWit 50: How much yarn?

Filed under: podcast — Autumn Breeze at 2:17 pm on Sunday, January 7, 2007

Some updates:

  • Bunnies are in their new home to mixed reviews.
  • I have gotten my yarn finished for the hand-spinning exchange. I had to over-dye the wool since the color was not as rich as I wanted.
  • I went back to work this week. My time off was not well spent or maybe it was. Depends upon your point of view.

This weeks story

I go on a rant about a question that I often get at the yarn store. “How much yarn will I need to make …. ?” This question drives me nuts. Maybe it is the mathematician in me that see the silliness of the expectation of the a precise number with imprecise information.
Let me know what you think. Am I completely off base? What have your experiences been?
