KnitWit 59: And Then

Filed under: podcast — Autumn Breeze at 12:12 pm on Saturday, March 10, 2007

I start with some discussion of religion. We are in the high holidays also known as March Madness. It is not a good idea to get between me and watching my guys.

A couple of movie reviews.

Continuing the story of my first year in NC.

Thanks for listening.

Great story - I was so bummed after last week’s, so it was great to have this end happily. Glad you got him back, and the part about him hugging you was really too cute!

I am SO glad that I listened to your last 2 podcasts on the same day, because I was so sad for you about Abernathy! Then I got to be happy for you again very soon when I listened to the second one! Man, oh, man, don’t do that to us again!

While I share your religion, I do not share your denomination. Other than that, I am JUST like you when it comes to basketball! And my husband’s not nearly as into it as I am. I wish you lived closer so we could watch together. It would be nice to have a female friend who liked the games as much as me.

Good luck to you and yours!
Julie

I just discovered your blog today and I’m so glad I did. I’ve only listened to the last two podcasts so far (KnitWit 58 and 59) and I know I’m going to be back to hear more of your stories.

I felt a lump in my throat listening to your story about Abernathy and I cried when you found him. I’m so happy for you! I’ve never owned a cat - I’ve only had dogs and rabbits - but I have to say that you’ve made me change my mind about cats. I want to get a cat like your Abernathy!

Again, love absolutely ALL of your stories. I’m glad no one was in my office as I was listening to this last one, for I had tears running down my face. What a happy ending to such a heartbreaking story! Love it!

I think you should put all these together in a book. How about a KnitWit Story of the Day Calendar (cheesy, tho, huh?)?

Just wanted to thank you and say I love ya!

I love to listen to your stories.

Just wanted to say I also had a cat that disappeared when I moved. I got him as a kitten for Christmas from a friend after we rescued him from starvation at a pet store. He was an indoor/outdoor kitty who would walk at your side like a dog. When I moved, he got confused and didn’t come back in after 10 minutes when I called him. I looked, called for him, and cried alot. Three months later, I was going up the next street and there he was crossing the road. I knew it was him because he had a squinty eye from an old injury. Sammy meowed loudly, running to me and jumped in my arms. I hugged and kissed him all the way into the car, into the apartment and for hours on the sofa. He never left my side when we went for walks again. He passed away three years ago at almost 17 years old.
