Hi Carry,

I'm *de-lurking*! At last I've caught up with all the episodes (okay, now there's a new one). I have to admit that at the very beginning, I didn't really like your podcast, but somehow, it grew on me. I came to LOVE your stories and listening to them while I knit. Sometimes the episodes are too short for my taste though. So, this particular episode was such a treat!

Keep on doing the podcast! You're doing a great job!

Like two ships passing in the night . . . I kept looking for the effing flower and I was sure I'd find you, that is until I saw how many people were in attendance. Yet, we seem to have been at the same places around the same time. I'm so sorry that I missed you. Now, I'm going through my pictures to see if you might be in the background. I enjoyed this podcast and hearing about your experiences. The MS&W is only 50 minutes from my house.

I knit and listen to your podcasts during my commute to and from work on the New York City subway. This extra-long "Maryland" podcast was very enjoyable.
Do you ever go to the New York State Sheep and Wool Festival at Rhinebeck in October? I'm going to try to get there this year (no car...beg friends). Do you ever go to this one? I would love to meet you and thank you for brightening all those long and dull commutes!
*-----------------------------------------------------------------*
I have never made it to Rhinebeck. October is usually very busy with the NC State Fair and all. I haven't even ever gone to SAFF that is right here in NC at the end of October for that same reason. I have heard good things about both. Maybe someday, I will be better organized for the fair and have time to do some other things.

Haven't listened yet, computer issues, but looking forward to it.
I would have said hello at MD S&W if I'd seen you. I had my eye out for the flower.

I'm so happy you ran into Lara when you where waiting for me! I don't feel as guilty for losing track of time. Next festival I'm setting an alarm on my phone, I'm such a dork.

We must have passed about 5 times. *sigh*

It sounds like the loom you were describing is called an Inkle loom.
*---------------------------------------------------------*
I looked it up. It's a stick loom. Lacis has a couple styles in their catalog (http://lacis.com/catalog/catalog.html). It appears that this is a very primitive way of weaving a strap.

What a treat! A nice long show. I was surprised to hear that you didn't think your listeners would like to meet you. I would love to meet you! I can't go to any of the Sheep and Wool events due to budget and other considerations. I am not a big shopper anyway, and I don't like to spend money. My yarn allowance is minuscule and I'm sure I would fall in love with a spindle and roving and want to start hand dyeing and get a sheep and some alpacas so maybe it is better I don't go but I really want to meet you. I listen to a lot of pod casts and read a lot of blogs but somehow I feel like I know you better than the other pod casters. Maybe it is because you remind me of myself or because you share such personal stories, but I feel like you are a good friend that I get to talk to every week and I would love to talk in person. I am not a crowd person, I don't like big groups of people, and I get nervous meeting new people but if I ever get to go to Maryland I'll be sure to look you up.
