KnitWit 74: On the Road Again

Filed under: podcast — Autumn Breeze at 10:50 am on Saturday, June 23, 2007

Some updates.

Andy is out of the hospital and doing well.

Sadie is still being a problem

New computer was returned. I have ordered a new new one.

Today’s story.

Traveling cross country with my family followed a set routine. The time table was precise. The division of labor was clear. Expectations were known.

Some people just didn’t get it. I don’t know why.

What do you think?

It was fun listening to this podcast on my drive to work this a.m. — I could totally relate, and it reminded me so vividly of family travels together, how we would all agree that “rules” for on-the-road adventures made everything go much more smoothly.

Thanks for a good podcast, Carry.

I snorted out loud as I drove home down the back country roads when you mentioned diapering the burger. Rules of the road indeed. We travel with food, music and a person that has to announce each and every rest stop just in case someone else has to pee (even if the entire car is fast asleep). Did you every fly anywhere as a child? I never did, it was all about traveling in the back of a beige ford falcon station wagon with the back seat folded down with sleeping bags spread out.
We tend to drive to this day with the music on sonic loud and often sing along.
be well
peace
