Wants vs. Needs...that's something I often discuss with my two girls as we are always on a tight budget!

Thank you so much for this episode, especially at this time of the year!

After the last christmas season I realised that what I missed most was the feeling of really wanting something and longing for it. The sort of longing that you had when you were a child and wished for that really special christmas or birthday present and couldn't wait for that day to arrive... Today I pretty much can buy anything right away, when I want something (well, not really big things like a house... ;-)) and it's like fulfilling a need. I didn't like that feeling and stopped buying things for myself for several months (until my birthday) if it wasn't something I needed. In my opinion you treasure things more, if you have to wait for them. And I also saved some money because I realised what things I really wanted and which things weren't a need nor a want.

Thanks again for your great podcast!

It's not just you. Tech support can make you want to strangle your own self just for having to deal with them. There have been several times this month alone where I wanted to bang my head against a wall.

The only thing that stopped me was that I will bang it all over again when they fix it, and then tell me in great detail what was wrong with it. I just want it fixed so I can get my work done. I don't want to hear about why it wasn't working unless I did something on my end to tear it up.

[...] check out the latest episode of Knitwit. The story is about Need vs. Want and how they are different, despite what the TV ads this time of year would like you to think. [...]

Long time lurker dropping in to say Thank You for this! I couldn't possibly have put it into better words. I've been thinking about this a lot lately and you have definitely given me a little more perspective. Thanks for the great podcast. :)
