KnitWit 109: Sex Ed

Filed under: podcast — Autumn Breeze at 4:04 pm on Sunday, February 24, 2008

This week has been rough. Damsel is in heat. She is waking us up every couple of hours with her crying. It is a hard sound to ignore.

It got me thinking about sex ed. It seems my experiences are different than other peoples experience. I share some stories about sex education.

Let me know what you think.

Hey Sis, Are you wearing your ear plugs? Good Luck with the little one. Love, Laura

I completely agree with your thoughts on sex ed! I was one of those ignorant people…until I got pregnant at the age of 18. My parents kept me out of the sex ed courses at school because of “religious reasons” and my father told me years later that he had always thought my mother had given me some instructions, but she never had.

I have made sure that both of my girls understand all the facts from an early age and encourage them to discuss anything with me. I don’t want them to have the hardships that I went through because of ignorance.
