KnitWit 119: I’m Back

I have a voice again that sounds like me…

Many thanks to Misty, Mur and Wayne.

I talk about Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. LLamalady, Bunny Squirrel, and Nina were good enough to take time out of their festival to talk with me. I had a great time. There was some bad news. Things maybe changing in the future.

A small rant about a certain ENT doctor.

Wow…You’d think with it being 2008 that doctors would have improved their manners. What an idiot.

I am so glad you’re back on the air.

A few years ago, when I was first diagnosed with chronic migraines, in the struggle to find a medication to help me, one of the prescriptions I was given made my hair fall out in clumps.

As a large woman with low self-esteem, my hair was very long and thick and pretty much the only thing I liked about my body at the time, so it was very tramatic for me. I questioned my doctor about getting a different medication and her response was that the medicine helped with my migraines so I should just change my hair style. Change to what? Bald? No thanks.

I never went back to her. I found another doctor who prescribed me a different medication that also worked for my migraines but didn’t make my hair fall out. I’m happy to say that it has since grown back, nice and thick as always!
