I wanted to thank you for this episode! I have learned so very much about the history of alcapas and llamas, whose fiber i have grown to revere. I also found your voice and cadence extremely soothing and calming. A perfect evening spent listening to your podcasts and knitting serenely. Thank you again (grazie ancora!) Francesca

Hi-
I'm a llama owner and breeder... Just listened to your podcast. Pronunciation correction on vicuna: ve-coon'-ya. Pronunciation of guanco: wa-naw-co

Llamas are not VERY large animals when compared to horses or cattle; you do have the weights correct. BTW, we own a female llama, aged 24, going on 25. Our llamas are sheared in our chute if they will not stand still in a small pen. Hums in a llama means they are not happy or concerned about something. Clucking is usually a challenge of seniority. I've never heard a "click" in a llama.

Otherwise, very good!
