Yes, she should be able to get unemployment. Last time I spoke to her, she said she was going to go and apply as well as check the job listings.

I mean to say, it’s good to have you being so supportive and on her side. That means a lot, especially when unnecessarily evil things like this happen.

I know it’s bad now, but it may be the best thing that ever happened for her. If her boss is this bad after one little incident, imagine how bad he would be if it had been a real serious mistake.

She will find something worthy of her time and talent. It’s so nice that she has you to back her up.

When I was in high school, my German teacher screamed at this girl because she kept pronouncing words wrong in class. Later it was discovered that she had dyslexia and he appologized to her in front of the class, and was very patient with her from then. Some people are understanding of disabilities while other just don’t seem to care. Hopefully your sister will find a position that works better for her in the future!

Hi Carry,

I’m so very sorry for you being upset and also sorry for your sister. I think she knows how you feel and it will be a comfort to her knowing that you care. It’s a teachfull podcast to me, not being dyslectic I think it’s great that you’ve put this “rant” on line. Perhaps your sister should download it and send it to her former boss. Only since he’s a ^&^%^%$^&* I don’t think it’s helpfull but it could relieve some of the pain that she’s feeling.

Dealing with this and the loss of her friend must be hard, I wish that she’ll get another good job with someone who can understand what being dyslectic means and hope that now since one door closed another good and bigger door will open.
Perhaps it was meant to be? Perhaps she’ll be happier in another job. And I understand that finding a new job isn’t easy.

Sending my thoughts to you and your sister there are people who do care, who want to learn and keep focused on that. If someone doesn’t want to learn it’s their loss not yours. You know better and handle from that knowing.

Looking to the future and goals is better than looking behind. From looking behind you you only get a stiff neck. Hope you’ll be fine from the heatstroke, please also take care?
