KnitWit 130: Exotics

Filed under: podcast — Autumn Breeze at 7:27 pm on Monday, July 28, 2008

This week I talk about how I got the poison ivy in an uncomfortable place.

Also I continue the discussion of different fibers. This week it is canine.

Dog makes a very nice yarn. It also knits very nice garments being both water and dirt repellent.

These are a couple of books that I have found useful:

Putting on the Dog by Carol Kroll
Knitting With Dog Hair by Kendall Crolius

but does the yarn smell like wet dog when it gets wet??? I guess I’ll have to listen to your podcast to see if you have any comments about that…

Hey Carry, I have been saving my little Shih tzu Mischa’s fur since I got her last year. I hope to someday learn to spin and I would love to use this. I really enjoyed your story, as usually, you have such good info thanks.
