KnitWit 140: History of Knitting

Filed under: podcast — Autumn Breeze at 9:02 pm on Sunday, October 5, 2008

This week I have 3 basic parts

1. Reminder: it is October and the North Carolina State Fair is coming up soon.

2. A slight rant about a lost evening.

3. This weeks story about a possible origin of knitting.  My story is based on James Norbury’s wonderful book Traditional Knitting Patterns.

I appreciate any comments, questions or recommendations.  Let me know what you think

Am looking forward to hearing about your time at the North Carolina State Fair. I never go anywhere so I am living vicariously through you!
Do you ever listen to books on cds when you travel? Who’s your favorite author?
I enjoy your podcast immensely and hope you keep at it.
Best,
K

Thanks again so much for your stories!!! Love the history of knitting (I always wonder — who the heck thought this up!). I even love your stories about your misfortunes — I’m not happy that something bad happened to you, but your story telling is wonderful! Thank you, thank you, thank you for your hard work and for doing this podcast. You just enrich my day (life) so much and I greatly appreciate you! Lots of love, Jill

Carry,

Shall you be at The Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair?

Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair always conflicts with the NC State Fair. I have never been able to go. :(
